They Say about Us

"As an economic student from Germany I always have the desire to broaden my knowledge of other international markets. I am very happy with the new knowledge I have acquired and the experience I got during the summer school. I highly recommend participating in the IBSS to anyone who is interested in learning and understanding new cultures and different lifestyles."  Frederik Röll

Integrating with other students allows you to gain from a set of diverse and unique perspectives. In this century of globalization building collaborative relationships and creating an international network can boost both your personal and future career opportunities. When so many people from different countries come together the classes become really interesting. The unique opportunity to share our knowledge, personal experience and culture together. It is inspiring experiment and a great opportunity. By visiting so many leading companies, you could have an opportunity to make very useful and important contacts, and even to get a job offer, as I did. You could bring to your own country new technologies and innovations, to make a business! And all classes and professors on enterpreneurship will inspire you on future business activities. I wish students to use all opportunities that Summer School offers you, because you will got a lot of them in such small period of time!Be inspired and operate! " Kristina Zhorayeva

"You never had it that good! I have friends from the Baltic region and heard a lot about Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, but never been to this beautiful region before. So, I decided to visit my friends, see how much the region has developed since the Soviet Union collapsed, to see the European Capital of Culture Tallinn 2011, the beauty of Riga and the lovely streets of Vilnius. Luckily my eyes saw a posture at the long corridor of VIA University College, saying…. International Baltic Summer School in Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius. A course providing an insight into political, historical, cultural, business, economy, law, innovation and intercultural communication aspects of Baltic countries, were something that really got my attention. Beside this the social program was awesome. The old town visit in Tallinn, a visit to Skype, a city tour in a summer city, Parnu, a test of Cesis Beer Brewery, the warm water of Jurmala beach, the canoeing competition in the furious river of Vilnius, kind guides were something that I will remember the Baltic countries for. Normally, making friends and building up a broad network takes long time; however, this was not the case in the Baltic International summer school. Here the social program broke the ice very easily and soon we all were good friends. Being back in Denmark and trying to find a word that can best describe the International Baltic Summer School…hmm not easy, however, I would like to say that I never had it that fun and I am sure that one day you will say the same. "I will start from rather far away. Each year I set an objective for myself to visit three countries I have not been to before. In this way I slowly, but steadily move towards the goal to see and experience all countries of our beautiful and amazing World. In 2011 the   International Baltic Summer School (IBSS) represented a wonderful opportunity to achieve the above-mentioned yearly objective, because it takes place in three  Baltic countries: Estonia,  Latvia, and  Lithuania. And I had not been there previously. In addition, there was some strange feeling that I should go for this opportunity, because I might learn something important. So, in spite of rather high costs, my decision-making on this topic resulted in the submitted application for IBSS and further taking part in this Summer School. However, this article named “3 IN 1” is not about the interesting company visits to  Skype andICT Demo Center in  Tallinn, swimming and sunbathing at the beaches in  Parnu and   Jurmala, adventures of being homeless in  Riga, playing in the “fun room” of Swedbank high above  Vilnius, admiring the treasures of the   Trakai Castle, and in general enjoying the 3 countries in 1  Summer School."

No, the post is about what I have learned and experienced concerning business:  Knowledge, Skills, and Ethics – the 3 components that an entrepreneur should possess in order to create and run a modern and successful international business. Alexandr Iscenco
