Our Team

Hi, my name is Tatyana, I am from Ukraine and I have been living in Estonia for 5 years. As part of the managing team of the summer school, I am very excited about the project. It brings international people to both organize it and participate in it which makes it vibrant, intercultural and beneficial for everyone who takes part. I am very happy to welcome you to the International Baltic Summer School 2012.

There are a couple of simple reason why I am interested in working for IBSS: mainly it's because of personal growth and development, so I believe personal motivation is the driving force for me. Besides, I'm interested in creating an international environment for participants as a launching point for future business ventures.

My name is Ernst and I am studying International Relations in Tallinn University of Technology in Estonia. I will be doing my best to make sure everyone will have a great time with us be it in any Baltic state! I wanted to be part of this year's team to partly learn myself how our other Baltic neighbours present themselves, and equally its my task to make sure Estonia won't overshadowed! Pubs may not come naturally for me, but Ive grown used to road trips which have either taken me along the the lengthy U.S. east coast or in the debts of Russia.

Hello. IBSS is a great opportunity for people who want to make things happen to meet people who made things happen. I am currently studying Manufacturing Mechanics and Marketing at TUT and starting my own business. Taking part of various entrepreneur seminars I have learned, that the only way from wannabe's to success is straight contact with achievers. I believe IBSS gives an environment for success. If you wanna be a big dog - howl with the wolves. As for my skillz: I am very interesting in Pubs.

I am from Hungary. When IBSS 2012 project started I was living in Estonia. As a result of a twist of fate I am living in the UK now. I am photographer. I made this website you are looking at. I am still responsible for it, I am the one who fills it with content. I will do my best to join the team in the summer and follow all the happenings with my camera.

Come and join our international team of IBSS 2012! This Summer School will not only provide you with book knowledge, but you will also gain insight into the business know-how of the Baltic States. You will have the opportunity to network with some truly amazing people, participate in company visits, and follow great lectures. Get a life experience you will never regret!

Karen Voolaid has been member of IBSS Baltic team since the beginning five years ago and she is responsible for IBSS Tallinn part. She is working as Head of International programs and Director of Dean`s office at Tallinn School of Economics and Business Administration of TUT. “It has been my pleasure to see the IBSS growing during those years and we have had a great chance to introduce our small countries and culture in the hole world."

I’m Zane. I’m originally from Riga, Latvia, but I have lived in Tallinn, Estonia, for three years, doing my bachelor’s degree. I volunteered for the Summer School so that I would be able to show others around two very dear cities to myself – Tallinn and Riga. The Summer School gave me a new perspective on both of them. I once again learned to notice and appreciate things that foreigners see as unique about them.

There are two main reasons why you should come to International Baltic Summer School! There are two key words. Nr.1 is Baltics - the place which brings together East and West and North of Eurasia. Nr.2 is international - for the past few years this word has been a synonym for the pure AWESOMENESS.

Karlis Kreslins has been member of the IBSS team since the very beginning and is responsible for the IBSS Riga part. Karlis is working as the Executive MBA programme director at the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga. He is also involved in several research project related to IT and telecommunications as well as education.

“I am always very eager to meet the new IBSS group. Students are always so motivated and keen to learn about the Baltic region. It’s amazing how many countries are represented in the summer school. I wish that the IBSS stays as an important global event for many years.”

In my opinion, Baltic summer school is one of the most experiencing things that you could do in summer, that gives you the opportunity to acknowledge three different cultures within three weeks. I like being part of this, introducing the Lithuania's culture to the people from other cultural dimensions, communicating in the multicultural atmosphere and present other good things that can be found in Lithuania.

Hello, my name is Violeta. I work for ISM University of Management and Economics in Vilnius. I enjoy being part of the IBSS team because of the friendly and open-minded people, the intellectual atmosphere and the unique scenario of the event. I am glad to meet you in Lithuania, our beautiful homeland at the geographical heart of Europe.

Hi guys, I'm Giedrius (call me Mr. G). I'm studying International business and communication in ISM University of Management and Economics in Vilnius. In the past I had organized summer business camps, what seemed to be interesting for me. As we grow, we need bigger "Toys" or/and "Games" to play, that's why now International Baltic Summer School seems to be the perfect for me :) Another reason is the possibility to meet all you, to get in touch with different cultures, to share experience between international friends.
See you in the summer!

Mr. G
