The Baltic Summer School offers 6 ECTS Credits.
|
Credit transfer
As Baltic Summer School gives ECTS credits for its courses, it is easy to transfer your credits to other European universities that use the ECTS system. Nevertheless, we recommend that students check with their home institution before applying to be sure that the credits are transferable and can be included in their domestic degrees.

ECTS Credits
The European Credit Transfer System ECTS was developed by the Commission of the European Communities in order to provide common procedures to guarantee academic recognition of studies abroad. It provides a way of measuring and comparing learning achievements, and transferring them from one university to another. This is achieved through the use of a common ECTS credit unit and a common ECTS grading scale. ECTS is based on the principle that 60 credits measure the workload of a full-time student during one academic year. The student workload of a full-time study programme in Europe amounts in most cases to around 1500-1800 hours per year and in those cases one credit stands for around 25 to 30 working hours.
